| Cat Description |
| Cindy |
|
| Cindy, a diluted medium hair calico, is the
beauty of the group. She is very affectionate and
she has the most delicate meowing we have heard.
She has a permanent kitten behavior, probably
because she has been very spoiled. We had to
dedicate particular care to Cindy, because she
used to have an eating disorder: she
was “anorexic”. A healthy kitten born to a feral
mother cat, at four or five months of age,
without any reason she stopped eating. She became
skin and bone. Force-feeding Cindy was
impossible, she would spit the food all over, and
so we had to be very imaginative to make her eat.
We used to throw kibbles of special dry food
around the floor, so that Cindy could “catch” it
and eat it. Every time Cindy would catch the
kibble, but not eat it, we would stop the game to
re-start it later on. It was a very time
consuming endeavor, but it was the only thing to
do to make Cindy eat She ended liking very
much this routine and after a while she would
come to us meowing and meowing for the game to
start. However after Cindy was spayed a new
eating disorder started and Cindy would eat
everything on sight. Now she finally arrived to a
happy medium and she is beautiful well-rounded
kitty. |
